Hello parents!

    I’m here to ask a quick favor of everyone. I’m sure at this point in the year everyone has heard of our amazing para Jaime Jones, and how much the children adore her. Mrs. Jones has just announced she will not be retuning to Killam next year, and is planning to enjoy time off spent with her family. Jaime is truly such an asset to our children’s success at school daily. She is the band aid giver, the one giving out hugs on tough days, and a cheerleading for their successes. There is an opportunity for Jaime to be nominated for the Distinguished Staff award this year, and as it is her last it would be a great way to end her career in education.  If all parents could complete the quick nomination survey to vote for her it would be greatly appreciated. The deadline to submit the nominations is May 14th.

Hey Room 4 parents!

   Today we delivered the teacher gifts to Ms. Cole and Mrs. Jones! Thank you to everyone who donated. We were able to purchase all of Ms.Cole’s Amazon wishlist supplies, gave each teacher a $100 gift card to Amazon, gave them both a small candle, chapsticks, hand cream, and a name tag pencil necklace for their ID badges they wear daily!

Hello Parents!

It’s that time of year! Holidays are right around the corner, and we try to get Ms. Cole and Mrs. Jones some small gifts to enjoy for the holidays. I was thinking we could also try to complete the Amazon wishlist Ms. Cole sent earlier in the year as well. If each family would consider making a donation to help accomplish this I know the teachers would really appreciate it. I’ll attach my Venmo, but if you’d prefer another method just reach out and we can make it work. 

If everyone could Venmo their donation by 12/15 that would be appreciated to give myself and Liz time to gather some gifts, and to order off the Amazon wishlist in time for the last day of class. We did get some gift ideas from a survey the teachers completed for things they enjoy, but if you have any ideas for a gift please reach out.

Hello Parents of Ms. Cole’s classroom,
We are Kaitlyn Cooper (Willa’s mom) and Liz Drake (Theo’s mom),and we will be the room parents this year. We wanted to keep you informed of a few things as we start the school year.

1. Register for Membership Toolkit: This is the only system room parents can use to communicate with the class, so please sign up! Also, this is essential to receiving important information from the PTO and automatically provides everyone with a class directory. If you are aware of families that are missing information, let them know about Membership Toolkit. Please see attached flyer for instructions on how to sign up.
2. Attend a PTO Meeting: Learn about upcoming events and how you can support Killam. The next meeting is 10/21 at 7pm in the Killam library.
