Wow, what a show—our kiddos were absolutely incredible last night!! If you missed the first show, I hope you are able to catch it tonight!

Thank you all SO much for your generous contributions for a group gift for our fabulous teachers—Ms Beckman, Ms. Sonia, Mrs. Hussey, and Mrs. Iozzo—who poured so much time and energy into this amazing production.

The cast will present these gifts at the end of tonight’s performance. Each teacher will receive a dozen roses and gift cards to Bagel World, Professors Market, and VISA (to spend anywhere), and added a little extra for Ms. Beckman—a Starbucks gift card too.

Hello 5th grade parents!

As the Lion King Jr. performance dates approach, I wanted to reach out and offer to put together “thank you” gifts for our teachers, Ms. Beckman, Ms. Sonia, Mrs. Hussey, and Mrs. Iozzo, who have been so generous with their talents and time over the past few months.

If you would like to contribute, please let me know by Wednesday, 3/26. Venmo me (@Megan-Schwint — phone last four digits are 7571) or if you prefer cash, email/text me and we can meet up at Killam. Participation is completely optional, there is no required contribution and any amount contributed is great.

We will present these gifts at the cast party after the final show on Saturday. I hope your kiddos have enjoyed this experience, it’s been such a great opportunity for them all.

Hi, please see message below from the PTO…you are interested or would like more information. 

Thank you to everyone who contributed for Mr. Stanley’s gift! We got him $100 each to Marathon Sports & Public Kitchen along with a Harry Potter trivia game and a golden snitch fidget toy. He said the classes have gotten more into Harry Potter over the years so hopefully those will be fun for him & the kids.

Hi Everyone,

The school is doing retakes of the class (not individual) pictures this Thursday. Mr. Stanley sent this info out in his weekly email this morning but I misunderstood it so wanted to make sure no one else did too. So please send your kid into school with clothes to get photographed in 👍👍

Hi Everyone! 

I’m JD Fennelly’s mom, Danielle, & I will be the room parent for Mr. Stanley’s class this year. 

We have all been through at least a few years here at Killam so I think you know the drill but I have two main jobs…to send out info and to manage the class gifts for Mr. Stanley. 

We are lucky to have a teacher who is a great communicator so my emails will mostly be redundant but I’d rather you get the message twice than not at all 😀 (On that note, book fair is tomorrow for our class) 

We will likely have 2 class gifts (1 at the holidays in Dec and 1 at the end of school). There may be a 3rd during teacher appreciation week but last year the PTO managed that for the whole school so we’ll see what they plan to do this year. If it is easier for you, I’m happy to accept donations for both presents so you don’t have to worry about it twice. $20ish per gift is excellent but whatever you feel comfortable giving is always great. 

The PTO is open to all so please join a meeting if you are interested. I know they appreciate parents volunteering and send out emails throughout the year to request help.
