Happy Friday! Thanks so much to everyone who contributed to the teacher appreciation week gift card! Maddie told me that Ms. Schultes was out yesterday and will be out again today so I will wait to bring it in until Monday. We were able to get $100 gift card! You guys are great!

I know the school celebrated teacher appreciation week last week but I think the official dates are this week and I was hoping to get Ms. Schultes a coffee gift card to just say thanks and give her a little extra caffeine if needed to make it through the end of the year! : ) If you’d like to participate you can Venmo me and I’ll grab a card and get it to her by Friday! Hi Everyone! 
Well let’s just say this is a very generous class! I was able to put together an amazing gift basket with gift cards to Target, Cals, Whitelam, Home Goods, & Starbucks. She also received a personalized ornament with all the kids names, a basket filled with great books all about dogs, some dog magnets, and chocolates! I’m sure she’s going to love it. Thank you for all contributions!

I hope everyone is having a great start to December! I'll be putting together a holiday gift for Ms. Schultes.  I’m hoping to get some gift cards and maybe a class ornament. I was also thinking about maybe putting together a book basket filled with some favorite dog theme books- since dogs are her favorite animal!

         “Wooftastic Book Basket”  I added some books to an Amazon wish list. If you send a book, I can write who it is from on the inside cover. I think it’s a cute little keepsake for her classroom library! Feel free to send a different favorite dog theme book that your child loves; the ones included in the link below are just suggestions!

I hope you are all doing well! I'm sending out this message at the request of the volunteers organizing movie nights this year at Killam.  

The plan is to have the Kindergarten and First Grade classes host the first of three Killam Movie Nights this school year on Wednesday, December 11 (likely starting at 6:30PM). 

This is open to the entire school; they are just looking for volunteers from these grades to help make this a successful first event.

Hello everyone,

My name is Meghan Bedow (Maddie Bedow's mom) and I will be the room parent for Ms.Shultes’s classroom this year. I wanted to keep you informed of a few activities and reminders as we start the school year.

1. Register for Membership Toolkit: If you are aware of families that are missing information, let them know about Membership Toolkit. Registering is essential to receiving important information from the PTO and automatically provides everyone with a class directory! Please see attached flyer for instructions on how to sign up
2. Attend a PTO Meeting: Attend a PTO meeting to learn about upcoming events and how you can support Killam. Next PTO meeting will be on Tuesday, October 22nd in the Killam Media Room. You can find future dates for PTO meetings on Membership Toolkit. 
3. Scholastic Book Fair will be at Killam Tuesday, October 15th through Friday October 18th (with evening hours until 6pm on Wednesday October 16th)!   

                 Ms.Shultes's class is scheduled to attend on Wednesday, October 16th at 10:30AM. Volunteers are needed to help make our Book Fair a success!   We need adults to help the students find the perfect book and to offer a helping hand.  If you have some time to help at the Book Fair, either during our             class time, with the set-up next Thursday October 10th after school, or with breakdown on Friday October 18th after school, please sign-up through the         Sign-Up Genius:  Book Fair Volunteer Sign-Up

Please note: All volunteers need to have a current CORI on file (good for 3 years). Please stop by the main office this week to complete the form if you have not done so already.
