We delivered her gift this morning (see attached photo), a flower arrangement from Reading Town Florist, and a collection of gift cards to her favorite places—Berry Tavern ($150), Massage Only ($155) and Amazon ($150).

Happy December, everyone!

I will be organizing a class gift for Mrs. Rice for the holidays. Hopefully this lightens your task list this busy time of year!

If you would like to contribute, please let me know and send payment by Sunday, December 15th. You can either send money, cash (or check made out to Megan Schwint), in an envelope through your child’s folder labeled with my name or via Venmo (@Megan-Schwint — phone last four digits are 7571). Participation is completely optional, there is no required contribution and any amount contributed is great.

We will be creating a gift basket including some of Mrs. Rice favorite things—I’ll share a photo and details after gifting it to her pre-winter break.

This is open to the entire school, we are just looking for volunteers from these grades to help make this a successful first event.

Hi Everyone! 
A very big thank you to everyone for all of your contributions to our end of year class gift for Mrs. Rice!! All of your help was so very much appreciated! We were able to gift her with a suitcase that she needed for her upcoming trip to Greece along with some Greek goodies to go along with it and also included were a travel wallet, personalized Yeti, and a photo frame with the entire class picture. Thank you so much for being so generous…we were able to give her a great send off to her trip and a big thank you for all she’s done this year!

Also a big thank you to all who volunteered to bring items for the class ice cream experiment this week. You were all so amazingly generous, and we were able to get all of the items to the class covered. Those items can still be brought in to school either tomorrow or at drop off on Thursday morning if they haven’t been given to Mrs. Rice already. 

Thank you again for all of your help this year! You have all been so amazing, and please know how much it has all been appreciated! Hope you all have a great summer!!

Hi, Everyone!

I can’t believe the end of the school year is just around the corner!  Time is flying by! I am reaching out to start coordinating an end of year gift for Mrs. Rice. For anyone who would like to contribute, you can either send an envelope with cash or a check into school with my name on it (Danielle Lockhart, Brady’s mom) or by Venmo to @danielle-lockhart-9). I’m hoping to have all the money collected by Monday, June 3 which will leave plenty of time to put her gift together before the last day of school. If anyone has any ideas of what she might enjoy as an end of year gift, please feel free to send them my way!

In light of this recent news, I am putting together a care package for Mrs. Menenello to let her know that we are all thinking of her, supporting her, and missing her. If you would like to send a contribution, you are welcome to do so. You can either send it to class in an envelope labeled with either my or Brady’s name on it or via Venmo (@danielle-lockhart-9). Anything you are comfortable giving is always appreciated so that we can let Mrs. M know how much we are thinking of her.

Hi Everyone!

Sending a big thank you to everyone for all the donations towards the class holiday gifts. We were able to gift Mrs. Rice with several of her favorite things from her teacher profile sheet. We gifted a basket full of baking items from Williams Sonoma for one of her favorite things to do along with a $100 Artichokes gift card and $50 Amazon gift card for her favorite restaurant and favorite place to shop. We were also able to gift Mrs M with hot chocolate from Williams Sonoma and a basket full of all the cocoa bar fixings and a Starbucks gift card.

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to send a quick thank you to all of you for all of your generous donations for our class sympathy gift to Mrs. Rice. We were able to send her a beautiful arrangement from The Flower Shoppe at Eric’s here in Reading along with a sympathy basket of some comfort items to let her know we were sending our condolences to her so I honestly cannot thank you all enough for that. Your kindness is very much appreciated!

In addition to that, the holidays are upon us so I will be putting together our class holiday gift as well. If you would like to contribute to the class holiday gift for Mrs. Rice, please do so by Friday December 15th. You can either send your contribution in an envelope into class labeled with my name or Brady’s name on it or via Venmo to @danielle-lockhart-9.

Any amount you’re comfortable giving is appreciated towards the class gift.  If you have any gift ideas as well, please let me know.  All suggestions are welcomed!

I also noticed that quite a few classmates have still not signed up for membership toolkit so if you know anyone’s email or phone numbers who may also like to contribute to the class gift, please feel free to share this with them.

Hello everyone,

You may have already seen the email that Mrs. Rice sent last night. Unfortunately, she suffered an unexpected loss in her family.  In an effort to let her know that we are thinking of her at such a difficult time, I was hoping to collect money in order to send a floral arrangement from the class to show our support to her and her family through this difficult time.  If anyone would like to contribute my Venmo is @danielle-lockhart-9 or you can send $ in an envelope with my son Brady’s name on it. The email she sent last night mentions that the services are Monday and Tuesday next week so I’m hoping to collect everything by Friday 12/8, so I can go ahead and order something in time. My hope is that getting something from her class will at least put a little smile on her face and let her know we are thinking of her.

Hi Class-

We are so excited about the Killam Parents Night on 11/2! The event is hosted by the PTO and will include Music Bingo, apps, and a cash bar at the Wakefield Elks. The PTO is collecting raffle items to be raffled off and asked each classroom to donate a basket/item.
