Staff Appreciation Day
Hi Guys!
As I hope you have seen from PTO emails - it is staff appreciation week! The PTO is looking for someone to help watch some classrooms so teachers can eat lunch together on Wednesday, and then go for a chair massage on Thursday. The PTO is still looking for volunteers for Thursday, and I'm volunteering tomorrow during 1240-2 to watch Ms. Hogan's class, but if someone else wants to join that would be great too!

We are getting ready for Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week and we are going to ask the teachers and staff to Kick Back and Relax for a little bit.
We have a great week planned for the teachers the week of April 28th.
Monday: Restock the teachers lounge with the teachers favorite snacks and supplies to get them through the rest of the year. (The Wishlist will close on April 16th)
Tuesday: Breakfast/Coffee Station
Wednesday: Lunch at Cafe Killam
Thursday: Chair Massages
Friday: Ice Cream Social
There are many ways to support our amazing teachers.
You can give the gift of time by signing up to cover a classroom on Wednesday (12:40 to 2:00 pm) or Thursday. Please note if you volunteer to cover the class on Thursday, you may not be with your child.

Holiday Gift
Hi Everybody!
With the holidays just around the corner, Christie and I wanted to get Ms. Hogan a gift from the class. We will be taking up a collection if you are interested in participating. In the past parents have given around $10-$20 - but truly any amount big or small is appreciated - so contribute only if you are able! Regardless of if you are able to donate - the gift will be from the class. If we get enough donations we also plan to put together a small gift to the specialist teachers.
Contributions can be sent directly to my Venmo account @Andrea-C-Jacobs, please include your child's name and teachers gift. The last 4 of my cell is 0962. If you don't have Venmo - you can send it in to school to give to Tyler or Kenzie - but please let us know so we can keep an eye out for it!

Book Fair Information
Dear Parents and Families,
The Scholastic Book Fair will be at Killam Tuesday October 15th through Friday October 18th (with evening hours until 6pm on Wednesday October 16th)!
Ms. Hogan's class is scheduled to attend on October 16th at 1:30pm.
Volunteers are needed to help make our Book Fair a success! We need adults to help the students find the perfect book and to offer a helping hand. If you've ever wanted to work in a bookstore, now's your chance!
If you have some time to help at the Book Fair, either during our class time, with the set-up next Thursday October 10th after school, or with breakdown on Friday October 18th after school, please sign-up through the Sign-Up Genius: Book Fair Volunteer Sign-Up
Please note: All volunteers need to have a current CORI on file (good for 3 years). Please stop by the main office this week to complete the form if you have not done so already.
